I was born and raised in Cumming, GA. I didn’t grow up in a hunting family, but my friends started to introduce me to hunting in high school. I struggled a bit during those years, but realized hunting was the best therapy for me. I started hunting deer, and from there my passion grew. I learned from others, but a lot I learned on my own. I remember the first time I went duck hunting like it was yesterday- it was opening morning and my friends took me to a WMA spot nearby. As you can imagine there were loads of people, everyone was basically sitting on top of each other, and not many birds showed up. I don’t know what it was, but something that morning had me hooked.

From there I continued to duck hunt and started traveling all over the United States, building relationships and sharing blinds with incredible people I now call friends. Somewhere in my journey I decided I to pick up a camera and I haven’t looked back since. Photography has opened a door for me that I didn’t know existed, Split Reed being one of them. I love working with such a solid team!
