Crooked Wing Outfitters has been successfully outfitting in the Lubbock area for 13 years. We run a large waterfowl operation primarily targeting lesser canada geese and sandhill cranes. We also offer a wide variety of hunts throughout Texas. We guide for 8 months straight starting in September with dove season and ending in May with turkey season. Along with our waterfowl hunts we offer: Dove, Quail, Pheasant, Whitetail, Mule Deer, Axis Deer, Turkey, and Hog hunts in the Lubbock area as well as the Texas hill country. We have offered world class sandhill crane and lesser Canada goose hunts in the Lubbock area for 13 years. We are blessed to have some of the most passionate and talented full time guides in the country, as well as an incredibly unique and abundant landscape to hunt. Our business has grown exponentially over the last decade and in our line of work that is not possible without producing results... producing results everyday is not possible without having the right team. More than just being "Killers" we hold our guides to such a high standard when it comes to the respect of our clients, and the respect of our resource. Our morning/evening combo hunts are a favorite of our clients. We can pair morning goose hunts with evening crane or pheasant hunts, and Morning goose or crane hunts with evening pheasant hunts.

$750/gun 2-day morning duck, crane, or goose
$1100/gun 3-day morning duck, crane, or goose
$375/gun evening pheasant hunts
$1000/night Big Lodge (sleeps 16)
$750/night Small Lodge (sleeps 8)
Hunt Style:
We hunt dry fields for both geese and cranes!
Common species targeted:
Lesser Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Doves, Pheasant.

Closest Airport and the time it takes to travel to/from:
Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport
No transportation to/from airport or fields. Rental cars available at airport.
Lodging/Accommodations:
Private Lodging Extra, Bird Cleaning. Our lodges are located less than 10 minutes from the Lubbock airport. United, American, and Southwest all fly into our airport. The lodge rents exclusive to your group for a nightly rate-- you can fill it up with as many or as few hunters as you wish. We do not provide any meals or onsite staff with our lodging. Both Lodges are set up with a full kitchen, with everything you need to cook for yourself and outside grilling area
$900/night big lodge (sleeps 16 total)
$650/night small lodge (sleeps 8)
What to bring:
Gun, ammo, Check the weather for Lubbock and pack accordingly, we will be hunting dry fields out of layout style blinds. No waders needed, if you see rain in the immediate forecast, some mud boots are nice. Otherwise hiking/work style boots are perfect. Try to avoid bright colored clothing!
Waterfowl Daily and Bag Limits:
Cranes: 3/person/day
Geese: 5/person/day
Dove: 15/person/day
Pheasant: 4/person/day
Terms:
50% deposit due 2 weeks after booking. Payed via check or PayPal.
6 person group minimum. (May hunt with less than 6 and cover the cost of the full group)
Bird Cleaning:
$5/crane, $4/goose, $4/pheasant
State/Province Hunting Requirements (license, stamps..):
You will need to purchase a Resident or Non-resident hunting license, a Federal Sandhill Crane Hunting permit (Free), HIP certification (harvest info program, required to hunt migratory birds FREE) when you add HIP certification to cart you will take a short 5 question survey for the certification, Texas migratory game bird endorsement ($7), Federal waterfowl stamp (duck stamp) $25. All hunters must have hunters ed certification or purchase the hunters ed deferral online. All can be purchased online through TPWD.
Arrival:
Check-In Time: Anytime after 5:00 pm the night before.
Check-Out 2:00 pm final day of hunt.
Cancellations:
The 50% deposit is non-refundable.
