High Plains Wingshooters

High Plains Wingshooters, located in SE Wyoming, draws goose and duck hunting enthusiasts from all over. HPW was started by Bret VanRensselaer in 2004. Aaron and Jennifer Garcia took ownership of HPW in 2014 after Aaron had guided for Bret for several years prior to purchase. They continue to operate the waterfowl outfit on and around the North Platte River.

Rates: $250/person per day

Hunt Style: We hunt primarily dry agricultural fields but also have water access.

Common species targeted: We mainly focus on Canada Geese and take any and all opportunities we can to harvest ducks.

Season Dates: November Through February.

Closest Airport and the time it takes to travel to/from: Scottsbluff Nebraska Regional Airport is approximately 40 minutes away from Torrington, Wyoming.

Lodging/Accommodations: Private Lodging Extra, Hotel/Motel Booked By Client, Bird Cleaning. All guests have access to our bird cleaning facility.

What to bring: Weather appropriate clothing, waterproof boots, gun, ammunition, appropriate licensing.

Waterfowl Daily and Bag Limits: 4 geese per day- 3 day possession (12 geese total).

Dog/retriever policy: Your well-mannered retriever is always welcome to accompany you on your hunt.

Wyoming Migratory Bird License, Conservation Stamp, Federal Duck Stamp, Wyoming HIP Stamp
(Note: if you purchase daily bird license, you are exempt from purchasing a conservation stamp)

Who are you: High Plains Wingshooters has been in operation since 2004 and purchased by current owners, Aaron and Jennifer Garcia, in 2014. HPW is know for its personal relationship between its guests and HPW staff and creating memories that last a lifetime. High Plains Wingshooters offers elite properties and gear, heated pit blinds, and knowledgeable and personal guides all at affordable rates. We offer lodging in our main 5 bedroom lodge as well as a few houses closer to town. We at HPW take pride in our operation as we offer top-notch hunting in the Central Flyway.

Terms: We require a 50% deposit to secure your hunting dates.

Final balance due on last day of hunting.

Each pit will hold up to 5 hunters (Parties larger than 5 will be placed in multiple pits)
