Michitoba Outfitting is a full service Outfitter and lodge. We live and operate in the same area. Many of the farms we hunt are family or life long friends. Living and being a member of the community has a great impact on our success!!

I have been a professional waterfowl guide since 1994 and an Outfitter in Manitoba since 2004. We offer a range of hunt packages from executive all inclusive hunts to a more hands on freelance style hunt. We have great mixed bag hunt opportunities: sandhill cranes, snows, Canadas, and just about every duck species in our flyway. We are best known for our mallards and abundance of greater Canada geese. We are located in the highest density of mallard production in the Canadian prairies!

Executive all inclusive:

*Includes morning and afternoon hunts all days (arrive the day before and depart the morning after) lodging, meals, guide, ammo(2 boxes per day), and bird cleaning.

Self Guided Waterfowl Hunt:
5 day $2,750 USD per person + applicable taxes

*Includes lodging and a guide to take you to your location. (Minimum 6 hunters, maximum 10 hunters)

Hunt Style: We can give you a diverse hunting experience from dry field hunts, potholes, timber, big water duck goose combo, and all from the comfort of an A-frame style blind.

Common species targeted: The most common specie we target are lesser and greater Canada geese, mallards, wood ducks, pintail, and snow geese.

Season Dates: Canadian resident season opens September 1, and non-resident season opens September 24. We operate ‘til November 8.

Closest Airport and the time it takes to travel to/from: Winnipeg International Airport (YWG) is a 3 hour drive to camp. Airport shuttle can be arranged at $175/person.

What to bring:

• 12 or 20 gauge shotguns

• Non toxic shot 4-2 for ducks, 2-BB for geese (We also stock Kent ammo and can be purchased from us at market value)

• Bring clothing in layers appropriate for 20F-70F temps with waterproof camo outer shells.

• Waders are an asset but not needed. Knee high waterproof boots are best.

• Face mask is a must!

Waterfowl Daily and Bag Limits:

Ducks - 8 daily; 24 possession
Canada Geese/Specks - 5 daily; 15 possession
Snows - 50 daily; unlimited possession
Sandhill Cranes - 5 daily; 15 possession

Dog/retriever policy: Retrievers are welcome with your private party and are to be kenneled at the lodge (no free roaming dogs in any building).

Additional fees: Bird cleaning for ‘all inclusive’ and ‘budget hunt’ are as follows:
Ducks breasted $4/bird , plucked $8/bird
Lesser Canada/snow breasted $4/bird, plucked $10/bird
Greater Canada breasted $4/bird, plucked $12/bird

State/Province Hunting Requirements: You are required to purchase a Canadian federal migratory bird permit/stamp $17.85 CDN
Provincial game bird license $170.75 CDN

Terms: 50% deposit due at booking
Balance due August 1 of hunt year
Payments accepted check, bank wire, credit card.
Cancellation policy: Deposits can be transferred to a new party member or carried over till the following year. All sales are final.
For private party - minimum party six (6) and max party size eight (8)
All party’s of under (6) will be mixed
* executive all inclusive private party size is (4)

Other: Non hunter fee of 50% hunt cost. Firearms declarations fee $25.
